About the artists:
CHLOE & SILAS
Together, singer-songwriter Chloe Hall and Brisbane fiddle and piano player Silas Palmer have over 30 years performance experience. Independently, they’ve played hundreds of Australian and international festivals and venues (with Deep Blue Orchestra, Spot the Dog and Women In Docs). They met at North Queensland’s 2010 Wintermoon Festival, where they started a musical conversation that continued after the festival tents were taken down. After months of exchanging ideas long distance, Silas met Chloe in Europe and they played their first show together in Paris. Since then, they have recorded their first collaborative album and toured both the UK and Australia. Two voices blending, guitar and fiddle intertwining, melodies soaring above. ‘**** Experience shows…new album Spring Hill] showcases Silas Palmer’s superb fiddle playing and Chloe Hall’s pure vocals’ The Border Mail ‘Less is more… I‘m totally smitten and if there was a star rating high enough I’d say it had gone inter-galactic! Fyfe on Folk (UK) Funded entirely by fans and friends through London’s Pledge Music, the album was a big risk. Stripped back and raw. Just voices and instruments – no treatments, no tricks. Fortunately, it has received widespread praise from critics and BBC and local ABC airplay. An intimate and engaging album, Chloe’s exceptional songwriting is front and centre. The goal is to build on the 2011 Australia and UK tours by taking their confident, mature and delicate sound to acoustic music lovers everywhere. www.chloeandsilas.com

THE GO SET:
The Go Set have released six albums and clocked up thousands of Australian and international kilometres performing raw, chaotic, yet intimate, live shows united by powerful songs and a strong social conscience. Combining folk instruments with distorted guitars and timeless rock‘n’roll energy, The Go Set is a unique experience. The band has performed at Australia’s best venues and festivals and shared stages with The Living End, The White Stripes, , Flogging Molly and Weddings, Parties, Anything. In 2011, its third Europe and UK tour developed a strong fan base. 2012 sees the release of album number six, a self-titled career defining rock‘n’roll oeuvre, produced by renowned Australian producer Paul McKercher (You Am I, The Living End, Midnight Oil, Something for Kate). Featuring eleven songs refined by months on the road, it represents a band at the top of its game. ‘The jig is pumped up thanks to rock solid Melbourne quintet The Go Set’ Rolling Stone ‘…trying to describe the sound of The Go Set is like trying to imagine The Pogues and The Clash having a late night jam in a local pub with an endless supply of booze.’ Blunt Magazine ‘The Go Set Chloe Hall and Silas Palmermanage to tell stories and churn out powerful rock tunes…All power to them.’ Beat Magazine ‘Explosive, dynamic, and engaging. There is no wonder this band is fast developing a legion of the converted. Probably one of the best live shows you will see all year.’ Drum Media
